Attendance Policy: (see Student Handbook - pg 10) - Regular school attendance is essential for the student to make the most of his or her education to benefit from teacher-led activities, to build each day's learning on the previous days, and to grow as an individual.
Tardy Procedures:
Tardies are very disruptive in effective educational environments and are thus considered disciplinary problems. Students are to be in their classrooms when the tardy bell sounds (8:10 a.m.)
Disciplinary sanctions for tardies:
First Tardy: Verbal warning
Second Tardy: Verbal warning
Third Tardy: Will equal one absence on student's record for prompt/regular and perfect attendance purposes.
Every third tardy thereafter will equal one absence on student's record, which will affect Attendance awards given at the end of the year.

Safety Tips:
Every effort is made to provide a safe learning environment for your child.
- Show your child the route to and from school.
- Your child should know your address, phone number, and the name and phone number of relatives, or someone we can contact.
- Discuss what your child is to do if you are late picking him/her up, or if you cannot be home when he/she arrives - in other words, what to do if things are different.
- Caution your child not to leave school and certainly not to leave or ride with strangers or friends without your permission.
