Visitors: As you enter into our building, please make sure you sign-in and get a "Visitors" badge. Volunteers are always welcome; however, new policies require that anyone with direct contact with children (e.g. field trips, pull-out reading exercises) must first have a criminal background check (which must be renewed each year).
School is one of the safest places for students. This is because they are surrounded by caring and capable adults, as well as being involved in comforting, established routines. It is important for our parent community to routinely comply with our established safety rules.
-
All visitors must first sign-in at the Elementary office before entering the building.
-
Visitors may be asked to show proper identification by the office staff or administration.
-
All visitors must wear identification or they will be stopped by staff members and asked to go to the office.
-
Please consider that the safety of our students is our concern as we enforce this policy.
Parents are welcome to observe the children at work within the classroom. One of the best ways to understand your child's classroom program is through visitation. Please call ahead to make an appointment for an appropriate time to visit. Classes may be involved in an assembly, special event or testing if a visitor comes unexpectedly.
ANYONE WITHOUT A VISITOR'S BADGE WILL BE ASKED TO GO TO THE OFFICE IMMEDIATELY TO OBTAIN ONE. THIS IS TO ENSURE THE SAFETY AND WELL-BEING OF ALL CHILDREN.
Thank you!
